About the Talespinner's Yarn and me

Talespinner, my character who I take with me from story to story, even when he's not in it, or apart of it. I think I could properly call him my writing spirit. Sometimes he appears if nowhere else but in my mind as a weathered old griot, sometimes as a simple guy relaxing in a pub or on a stoop. Always old, always traveled. He seems like he's a part of the stories he tells, but apart from them. His own story is the story of others, and making sure those stories are told. I named my blog page "The Talespinner's Yarn" since that's who I am when I set down to telling a story. I came up with the name itself on a whim when, without thought before hand, I started a pen and paper campaign for the game Exalted, in a raspy almost New Orleans accent and a laugh I could barely hold back at feeling how silly it felt to talk like that.

I have been writing since I was barely spelling words at a pretty young age. Different hobbies come and go but that one has always remained. It is a hope of mine to get some of this published someday. As a pen and paper game, novel, or any other form of media. The goal is to share my imagination with an audience, to take them away from reality for a time.
